Terre Weisman

With past pursuits in comedy and music, Terre Weisman found his passion when a movie idea led him to purchase a typewriter and Syd Field’s Screenwriting. To date, Weisman has written dozens of screenplays, spec and original sitcoms, two novels, and directed numerous corporate videos. He sat on the board of a local theater and performance group, hosted his own comedy night in Southern New Hampshire, and under his Creative Balance Films banner, wrote, produced, and directed three original feature films, including Developing Sheldon, the BEST FEATURE winner at the New Hampshire Film Festival in 2003, The A-Plate, INDIE SPIRIT RECOGNITION AWARD winner at the Boston International Film Festival in 2012, and Max Dagan being his latest creative feat. Weisman has two boys and is living the dream with Tatiana, the love of his life in New Hampshire.

RAFI JACOBS

Producer

Rafi Jacobs is a Co-Founder and Producer at Static Films. He graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with concentrations in Photography, Film & Video, where he was a Merit Scholar and John W. Kurtich Travel Scholarship recipient. Jacobs began his early career writing and directing his own narrative shorts, which have amassed millions of views online, as well as working in the camera and lighting departments on such titles as Peter Bogdanovich’s ‘The Great Buster,’ Best Documentary on Cinema winner at the 2018 Venice Film Festival, and many Israeli titles while living abroad. In addition to his film work, Jacobs has exhibited his photographs and experimental video works in galleries, museums, and publications worldwide since 2012, most notably at Art/Video International (Netanya, Israel), Duplex Gallery (Geneva, Switzerland), the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography (Detroit, USA), and the Spectacle Theater (Brooklyn, USA).

Stephen Mastrocola

Producer

Stephen Mastrocola is a Co-Founder and Producer at Static Films. After attending film school at Chapman University, Stephen began his career in entertainment working on the 'Entourage' movie and HBO’s 'Ballers.' After several years working as a screenwriter, selling projects to Blackpills and Fullscreen, and others through his reps at ICM Partners and Writ Large, Stephen pivoted to producing and co-founded Static Films in 2021, independently producing four features and several shorts in their first two years. His physical production experience led him to take a position as an Executive Producer at Buffalo 8 in 2023, managing their slate of independent projects to provide guidance and support on finance, physical production, and sales to independent filmmakers.

Liana Montemayor

Producer

Liana Montemayor is a Co-Founder and Producer at Static Films. She began her career as a dancer working on music videos, commercials, and Nickelodeon’s ‘The Thundermans.’ With a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, it led her to pursue a career in producing. She has played a pivotal role in helping Static Films bring four features and several shorts to life in just their first two years. Whether collaborating with seasoned actors or emerging talent, Liana is dedicated to delivering compelling and thought-provoking content that resonates with audiences worldwide. She is currently working at Warner Bros under the Creative Strategy and Film Operations department, helping bring more independent projects to life.

Barry Katz is an Emmy and Grammy nominated TV-film-record producer, talent manager, and podcast host. He is universally known for representing iconic artists like Louie Anderson, Hasan Minhaj, and Mike Epps, giving the first quality stage time in New York City and Boston to future stars like Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Sarah Silverman, Denis Leary, and the late Patrice O'Neal, as well as helping launch the careers of some of the most extraordinary comedy artists in the business, including Dave Chappelle, Louie CK, Bill Burr, Marc Maron, Whitney Cummings, Dane Cook,  and Tracy Morgan. Throughout his career, Katz has sold 37 out of 38 stand-up comedy specials he produced and has brokered an unprecedented 100 TV development deals, created 3 television shows, and executive produced over 50 different specials, documentaries, reality shows, and scripted series, including 7 seasons of the Emmy-nominated NBC series Last Comic Standing.

Static Films

Static Films is a full-service production company providing creative and logistical support to independent filmmakers since 2021. Producing four features in their first year alone, Static has showcased such talents as Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Aurora Perrineau (Westworld), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Rob Morrow (Northern Exposure), Zachary Gordon (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), and, most recently, Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass) and John Carroll Lynch (Fargo). Their award-winning work has screened at numerous festivals including Dances With Films, RiverRun Independent Film Festival, and Nightmares Film Festival. On the commercial side, Static has produced marketing pieces for Peacock’s Apples Never Fall starring Annette Bening; Ted, created by Seth MacFarlane; and the Bel Air series.

Creative Balance Films

Our company, Creative Balance Films LLC, is an expression of the very ideals I believe in, which is, within every creative endeavor, there needs to be a creative balance of talent. Realistically, reaching success in any creative field is not without collaboration. With the inception of Creative Balance Films, I have been able to align myself with many wonderful and creative “above” and “below” the line talent and have been able to bring together a “team of professionals” on which to rely.

BARRY KATZ ENTERTAINMENT

Barry Katz is a television and film producer, talent manager, and founder of the Boston Comedy Club. Barry started performing stand-up comedy in the 1980s, but quickly discovered that management was his calling. He went on to launch the careers of industry giants like Dave Chapelle, Tracy Morgan, Wanda Sykes, and Jeff Ross. He has since been the host of the Industry Standard podcast where he interviews successful figures in the entertainment industry. Soon he will launch the Blueprint for Success, a comprehensive educational experience for anyone looking to build a career in the comedy business.
